The circuit of Mont Blanc is one of the finest hiking routes in the European Alps. The circuit is a series of paths linking the seven valleys that surround the highest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc, which stands at 4,800 metres above sea level. Your base is likely to be in Chamonix, a resort village at the confluence of the borders of France, Switzerland and Italy, in the heart of the French Alps.

The Mont Blanc Highlights Tour is considered moderate which ideal for those with a spirited sense of adventure and moderate fitness level and some experience in hiking previously. The tour is eight days in length, five of which include hiking between five to seven hours each day. You’ll reach altitudes of 2,352m but on average hover around an altitude of 1,525m. Breakfast is included daily as well as most lunches and dinners. Accommodation, transport and various activities and a tour leader is also included.

Tour du Mont Blanc Camping Trek Tour
Given the epic scenery, local sightseeing and distances between these; hiking around Mont Blanc over 15-days is considered the best length of time to really appreciate the scale of the surrounding landscape. While camping abroad might sound a little out of your comfort zone, this tour is led by an experienced International Mountain Leader (IML) who will guide you as you hike. Over the 15 days, which includes three rest-days, you will be led across three borders, over six passes, beneath glaciers and through beautiful alpine meadows and picture-book villages. As an added comfort, luggage is transported for you by a support vehicle each day, so you can enjoy the incredibly stunning scenery.

The Tour du Mont Blanc Camping Trek Tour is considered moderate-challenging, which is ideal for those with moderate fitness and have an interest in remote or challenging environments as well as some experience in hiking. The tour is fifteen days in length, ten of which will include six to eight hours of hiking each day. You’ll reach altitudes of 2,537m but on average hover around an altitude of 1,525m. Group sizes range from four to fourteen at max. Breakfast is included daily as well as most lunches and dinners. Accommodation (a shared three-person tent for two people max), transport and various activities and a tour leader is also included.

Tour du Mont Blanc Hotel Trek tour
For those who like to enjoy the comfort of a bed every night, you might prefer the Tour du Mont Blanc Hotel Trek tour. Spend each day surrounded by the Alps and Mont Blanc, as you hike trails that cross the borders of Switzerland, Italy and France surrounding Chamonix. At the end of each day relax and recuperate in comfortable, two to three-star, family-run lodgings. Your luggage is transported for you by a support vehicle each day, so you can simply enjoy the day, weight and worry-free.
